The Metallic Hues grew from my interest in finding new textures, combining colors that normally do not go together to create images with a distinctive physical presence. I wanted the metallic qualities to become part of the composition itself, rather than simply a surface effect.

Working with both figurative and abstract subjects, I explore how reflective textures, shifting colors, and dimensional forms can transform an image. Many of these works were conceived as visual centerpieces, intended to command attention while complementing the spaces in which they are displayed.

Below is a sampling of the series. Each composition evolves through experimentation, adjustment, and refinement, often comprised of four or more generations before the elements came together in a way that satisfies my changing vision and the unexpected.
